Addendum: On hiatus

Out of the office for three Thursdays: November 23 - December 07, 2023

Dear Reader,

I feel trepidation that I will momentarily leave you for three Thursdays as I have an overseas visitor visiting. We have not seen each other since 2017 so you can imagine the long conversations going on.

In the meantime, I will leave you with a new rare book find (for Philippine readers), published by Random House and from a Filipino investigative journalist. I try to follow her newspaper columns at Rappler but they are so few and far between so I am happy to see that she has published a book!

The title just jumps right at me! It is from a quote from an actual person interviewed. Currently wrapped as a gift for another person so I have to wait impatiently to browse some pages!

I am hoping to read snatches from this book during the break. This is about the drug war during the presidency of Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines and I am looking to see how accurate or balanced the views would be on this one.
